A fantastic story that continues to build even through the end of the book, coupled with even further character development (perhaps the greatest thing about the Drizzt books is that the characters themselves grow, change, and adapt to the chaotic world) does well to ease your craving for an excellent fantasy read, while opening a huge hole in your stomach that can only be filled with a big bite from the next book, The Lone Drow. This would be a greatgift or prize for any boy or girl. I'm re-reading it and so far it has held up well.As a kid, this book gave me an appreciation for the outdoors and surviving in the world when the odds are stacked against you. AND Witches?
